Membership

Membership in the Rondout Rowing Club means enjoying the exercise, the beautiful scenery, and having fun!  To become a member, you must:

  • Be at least 12 years of age
  • Complete the Learn to Row course, if you are new to rowing. The $100 fee for the course will be applied to your membership dues if you decide to join.
  • Pay dues of $200 per year unless an exception is granted. To request alternate payment arrangements, email reneefrasch@gmail.com
  • Discounted family and youth memberships are available
  • Commit to a minimum of 12 hours volunteer time per year. 

Members who row require:

  • Proof that the member can tread water for 15 minutes and swim a distance of 100 yards
  • Viewing of a US Rowing video about rowing safety
  • Basic rowing capability, which may be obtained by attending Learn-to-Row sessions
  • A signature from a Club coach indicating that the rower has basic capability to row and is familiar with the Club’s safety rules

2012 annual membership fees: 
Individual adult:     $200
Family of 2 adults: $360
Youth & under 18:  The membership fee is waived if enrolled in the Learn to Row program.
